The Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc.
was founded in 1958 as the American Branch of the Embroiderers' Guild, London. This organization was incorporated in New York State in 1973 and is known affectionately as EGA. Today the Guild's Headquarters are in Louisville, Kentucky. EGA has over 15,000 members and nearly 350 chapters across the United States and Canada. See EGA's website for more information.
